Hello friends, welcome to my home studio 💛
This is the space where most of the Hello Elks magic happens. It’s my favourite place to spend the day, and where I have the freedom, comfort, and quiet to bring my ideas to life.
I’ve slowly pieced this studio together over time, letting it evolve alongside my art and creative work. It’s bright, colourful, and filled with things that make me feel calm, inspired, and happy to be here. For me, having a space that feels good to exist in is just as important as having the right tools.
So come on in — I’d love to show you around.
A light-filled, colour-loving space
My studio is full of all the things I love: cute art, plenty of natural light, and bursts of colour, which instantly sets the tone for my day.
Along one wall, I have cork boards where I like to pin up my work. Getting the boards up on the wall was a pretty fun project. I gave them a little DIY upgrade, painting the silver frames in a warmer tone so they felt more me.
I’ve filled this space with my own work, little trinkets from my travels, and other cute things that make me smile. I also love having plenty of indoor plants around for a healthy dose of green!

Studio assistant (very important role)
Just out of frame in most photos is Winston’s cozy little spot. He’s very much my shadow, so his old crate lives right next to my desk. After we finished using it for his training, we took the door off and turned it into a little hidey hole for him — he loves it!
He spends most days curled up napping in there while I work, occasionally checking in for attention and cuddles. Truly the sweetest studio companion that I could hope for! This is genuinely one of my favourite parts of my space.

My desk setup
I love to keep my desk fairly simple and clean — personally, I find it really hard to feel creative when I let my space get cluttered. My main tools of the trade are my iMac (in orange — of course!) and my iPad Pro. I use them both on the daily and truly couldn’t live without either of them.
I also keep my planner at my desk, along with my sketchbook for easy access. These are my other two trusty companions that keep me creating and moving forward.

Other creative tools
I'm a bit of a hobby collector, so around the rest of the room you'll find some other tools that help me bring ideas to life! I have an art printer, sewing machine and a Cricut nearby, along with all sorts of other goodies like block printing supplies, yarn + crochet supplies, paint, pencils, markers, art books - you name it! I don’t use them all for my business and regular workflow, but I do love being able to experiment and play with new ideas when inspiration strikes.
Some other studio favourites include:
- My all-time favourite candle: Cedarwood + Moss by Kennedy Smith (it smells like a forest and I am obsessed!)
- A delightful selection of fidget toys (Stimagz and the NeeDoh Nice Cube are current favourites!)
- A Canvas Lamp for lighting + filming
- Philips Hue light strips behind my desk — no big lights allowed here, cozy vibes only!
A space that’s grown with me
One of my favourite things about this studio is how much it has evolved. It didn’t come together overnight — it’s grown slowly, piece by piece, alongside my art and business.
Looking back at earlier versions of this space always reminds me how far I’ve come, and how much creative growth can happen when you give yourself a place that feels safe, inspiring, and truly your own.
This room supports my creativity in ways that go far beyond aesthetics. It’s where ideas take shape, where work feels gentler, and where Hello Elks continues to grow.
Thanks so much for taking the tour! I'll leave you with some fun studio moments from recent years - I hope you enjoy the baby Winston pics as much as I do! 💛
